A magazine for the people who defend things

Aegis Sentry Magazine is an independent digital publication about cyber defense — the threats, the controls, and the decisions that shape digital resilience. We write for defenders, technology leaders, and security-aware teams who need clarity more than they need another alarm.

We publish in two editions: the Global Edition, covering the threat landscape, architecture, and operations worldwide, and Aegis Sentry India, reporting on the regulation, fraud patterns, and defence realities of India's digital economy.

A note from the editor

I started Aegis Sentry years ago with a simple idea: security coverage that respects the reader — no fear-mongering, no jargon walls, just honest reporting on what's happening and what to do about it. Life intervened, and the magazine sat unfinished longer than I'd like to admit.

It's back now, and it's back with a wider view. The Global Edition continues the original mission. Aegis Sentry India exists because the world's fastest-growing digital economy deserves security journalism written from the ground — where a data protection law is rolling out to a billion people, where a fraud call reaches every family's phone, and where a million small businesses are coming online with no security team at all.

Thank you for reading issue one, again.

Editorial standards

How we work

Independence & disclosure

Sponsored and partner content is always labelled. If we ever cover a product or company connected to our publisher, we say so in the piece — every time.

Accuracy & corrections

We verify before we publish. When we get something wrong, we correct the article and note the correction — quietly rewriting history isn't our style.

No fear-mongering

Security has enough sirens. We report what happened, what it means, and what a reasonable reader should do — in plain language.
